Use L1M Virtual EPROM Tool to virtualy "swap" / change the sounds of your Jackbox L1M Drum Module.

You can use either WAV or AIF samples which will be converted to the original machine format, or even import raw BIN memory dump files from original Lindrum, LM-1, DX or DMX EPROMs. But beware the memory limitations, they are the same as those in the original LM-2 machine!

The files produced by the Virtual EPROM Tool are regular Rack Extension Patch Files (*.repatch) which can be opened by the Jackbox L1M Drum Rack Extension.

The Virtual EPROM Tool features in particular.

• Import WAV or AIF samples and convert them to the machine format (24KHz / 8-bit / Mono / uLAW)
  
  
• Import directly BIN memory dump files originating from actual EPROM files for LM-2 (or Linn 9000, or Oberheim DMX or any other device with compliant format)
  
  
• Imoprt a series of BIN files as a single sample. Very handy if your sound is spanned across many EPROM dump files.
  
  
• Save, load and modify regular *.repatch files.
  
  
• Non-destructive modification of your drum set. Feel-free to revert anytime to the original sound before you save. 

L1M Virtual EPROM Tool is and will remain forever free of charge regardless if you own the Jackbox L1M Drum module, or if you are just trying it. It runs both on PC and Mac, using the Adobe AIR Framework, which you can download by visiting the Harman Adobe AIR Website. More instructions are available in the manual included in the download zip file.
